Rope Burn And Red Lines

What was the reaction you were expecting
When we found you hanging from the ceiling?
Shame or remorse, fact is no one cared
Nothing remains for the last parts have been erased
Lost from your eyes is even the cold
The building pain left with a final breath
Point made but never taken only to your heart
Calloused and bleeding, a horrid mess to mend
And that's why it never was
Careless are the remnant you left behind
So this will always be the day marked with fallen roses
Peddle by peddle they weep for you with no tears
Now for those who you thought were close
Were never close at all, and see they left you hanging
Staring up with eyes of confusion
They say that there was nothing they could do to save you
But it was all a lie, and they've lived in its grasp for all time
Twilight on a life that was shinning in midday
This should never happen with so many hands of hope around
Yet the noose was still slipped around your neck and pulled tight
Kicking back the chair you went into grief laced limbo
So for a briefness you swayed between pain and punishment
Desecrating the temple that was not yours, the idols fell prostate
Seeing for once that it all didn't matter but it was all too late
Now only you have paid the price that was already met
And those who were made to suffer, receive no judgement
It was all a facade, and you only know it now
But it's too late to come back, you've taken it too far
It's too late to come back
